Rainbow Poplar Salt and Pepper Set SPS-032
This set consists of a Pepper Grinder and matching Salt Shaker.
Pepper Grinder: This is a handmade antique style pepper grinder with a working peppermill mechanism. The base was turned on a wood lathe from Rainbow Poplar woodand features the hole for the pepper to pass through. All the working parts are made of cast metal and are mounted in a bronze housing. There is a small sliding door in the front of the grinding mechanism to pour the peppercorns in and there is a small flat circular disc below the knob on the top to change the coarseness of the pepper to your liking. It is not recommended for the use of grinding salt and we cannot warrant for this use.
Salt Shaker: The shape matches the Pepper Grinder and features a shaker top with a plug in the bottom.
Both pieces were sanded from 80 grit to 1200 grit sandpaper then a friction activated polyurethane was applied while turning on the wood lathe at 1800 RPM. This set is a unique but functional addition to any kitchen.
